Baked occupies a cozy storefront right on Van Brunt Street, decorated in dark wood with orange accents––replete with faux taxidermy and modern fixtures. On the menu are signature versions of whoopie pies, layer cakes, brownies, flavored marshmallows, and cupcakes galore––in flavors from green tea to Red Hook Red Hot.
Matt and Renato have appeared on the Martha Stewart Show, the Today Show, the Food Network, and the Style Network. The duo has also received accolades from Time Out, French Culinary Institute, Citysearch, and America's Test Kitchen. Oprah even recognized their brownies as a "favorite thing."
Matt and Renato have written two best-selling cookbooks Baked: New Frontiers in Baking and Baked Explorations. They just inked a deal to write a series of dessert cookbooks to be published by Stewart, Tabori and Chang.
