Claudia Pearson, Coffee Mug, Kitchen Accesories, Tea towels -

Artisan: Claudia Pearson

Whether it’s farmers market produce, the French bulldog down the block, or a Brooklyn brownstone, Claudia Pearson has captured its essence with her pen. A London-native, Claudia moved to New York to pursue her career after graduating from school, and started illustrating in the fashion industry. After years of sketching stylish ensembles, she found her passion in other areas—food and place.

The inspiration for much of Claudia’s illustrations comes from her day-to-day life in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, where she lives with her two sons and husband. Her vegetarian lifestyle, affinity for local greenmarket goods, and love for travel all can be found in her work.

Claudia’s illustrations have been featured in notable publications like New York Magazine, New York Times, and Elle, and most recently in a collaboration with West Elm’s Spring 2013 tabletop collection, featuring an adorable dachshund and a summer theme. The fun nature of her imagery lends itself to home and kitchenware, from aprons to cutting boards.

Claudia also designed the cover of the Mile End Cookbook, the latest from the NYC-based Jewish deli, and has worked on several publications with Chronicle Books. Her designs, reminiscent of vintage style but still clearly contemporary, were the perfect fit.

With Love From Brooklyn partnered with Claudia to create our own (very cute, might we add) logo, as well as showcase her whimsical tea towels in our Brooklyn-centric gift sets.

"Brooklyn has blossomed as a creative hub - a place where artists, designers and craftspeople can freely create and flourish. The supportive community has enabled these businesses to thrive and become recognized internationally,” Claudia said.
